A very quiet old whaling village, very peaceful. It's a bit like a fishing village you would find in Devon or Cornwall. The whaling station, Whale World, is definitely worth a visit. I was a bit disappointed by the blowholes, they weren't really what I was expecting, maybe there better in a force ten gale.

Accommodation - We stayed in a self catering chalet in Middleton Beach Holiday Park. It's a caravan park really with a couple of blocks of these huts. It was very very nice, which it wanted to be for AUS$74/night. I think I had the best nights sleep I've had for months. It's right on the beach and you can hear the sea rolling in.
