We went over to Dunk Island which was a bit of a rollercoaster ride, as it was raining we walked all the way round the island through the rain forest (13km) and didn't get wet, hurrah! It was really nice, very humid. We did a walk through the rain forest, the Lacey Creek walk, near Mission Beach as we were hoping to see some Cassowaries, we weren't disappointed. We also went up into the mountains and had a look at Crystal Creek, good view from the top.

Accommodation - We wanted to stay at Mission Beach but it was fully booked, it didn't look anything special when we had a look, that might have been due to the weather which decided to turn nasty just as we decided to have 3 days on the beach. We stayed at Kurrimine Beach Holiday Park which is the next beach up from Mission. It was OK, the family that run it are friendly, the shower heads are a bit low in the wall, well for me anyway.
