We came to Cairns to get drunk, that was it really. Having stayed just up the coast in Port Douglas and seen the local sights we didn't need to do anything else. The rellies were also decided to come to Cairns so we all had a meal in the RSL club, it's not a naff place like the one in Mnt Isa, they obviously have a lot more money here and it's quite posh. After that we had a look at the night markets and found the only pub that seemed to be open on a Monday night, the Woolshed. They had a backpackers thing on so the drinks were cheap. Cairns itself is fairly ordinary, I didn't take any pictures.

Accommodation - Cairns Coconut Caravan Resort, a 5 star Big 4 place, very nice although the toilets were a bit far away.
