Emerald Beach

20kms North of Coffs Harbour and the home of our friends Michelle and Guillaume. It's a small village that's just a couple of streets really but it's right on the coast next to a string of beautiful beaches. They live 5 mins walk from Shelly's Beach which is good for surfing apparently, next to that is Emerald Beach, Moonee Beach and more all the way up to Woolgoolga which is the next town up. The bits of Coffs Harbour we saw were OK, the Marina Area leads onto Mutton Bird Island where you get a good view of the harbour and surrounds. The fishing club is a good place for a beer if you can get a seat on the balcony. We also went up to Dorrigo National Park to see the rainforest, it's OK. The waterfalls actually have water coming over them which was novel, there's an interesting tree at the entrance to the waterworks on the way up to Dangar Falls.

Accommodation - Michelle and Guillaume's house. So nice I want to take it home, if they leave for more than 5 minutes I'm getting it flat packed and shipped to the UK.
